The aim of this session is to help you understand how to perform effectively at an interview

By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

• Understand the purpose of an interview
• Outline different types of interviews
• Recognise how decisions are made
• Identify ways of making a positive first impression
• Understand the importance of verbal and non-verbal communication
• Outline the different body language signals
• Identify the dos and don’ts of conduct and etiquette
• Respond to different types of questions appropriately
• List appropriate questions to ask in an interview
• Demonstrate effective interview skills
• Review your own performance in a mock interview
• Reflect on feedback from mock interview
